How long does an ice sculpture last?

A typical sculpture will retain its detail at room temperature (70 degrees) for approximately eight hours!

Are the ice scupltures made from molds?

No. All Chicago Ice Works sculptures are hand-carved.

What are the key things I should consider if I am interested in ordering a sculpture?

Design, size (number of blocks), and placement (where is it going to be). Be sure to also consider additional supplies such as drainage trays, lighting, and other accessories.

What areas do you serve?

Chicago Ice Works primarily serves all of the Chicagoland area. For out-of-area delivery, please contact us for additional fees.

How long in advance do I need to place my order?

More time is always better. Two weeks, however, is generally enough time to accomodate most situations.

What types of payment do you accept?

Chicago Ice Works accepts Visa and Mastercard as well as checks and money orders.

Do you sell blocks of ice, packaged ice, or dry ice?

No, however, you are welcome to contact Lang Ice at http://www.langice.com for these needs.

For custom sculptures, what kind of information do you need?

Emailed high-quality jpegs or mailed high-quality printouts are preferred. Faxes are accepted, but must be clean, clear, and of appropriate size (not tiny).

Note: In cases where logos, artwork, etc. are registered, the proper release form must be signed and submitted.
